SENIOR MANAGER – CORPORATE BANKING

Reporting to: Chief Commercial Banking Officer

Core Responsibility
To drive growth and proactive management of the Corporate credit and liabilities portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve business targets for assets, liabilities, revenue, costs, and customer growth.
  • Market and strengthen the Akiba Commercial Bank brand and competitiveness.
  • Identify, develop, and grow new corporate business opportunities.
  • Ensure efficient, profitable, and sustainable growth of the corporate banking segment.
  • Deliver superior client service and optimize business synergies.
  • Develop and implement market strategies aligned with corporate banking objectives.
  • Execute commercial strategies and tactical business plans.
  • Cross-sell the Bank’s products and services.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with corporate clients.
  • Manage key customer relationships through regular engagement and visits.
  • Act as the prime interface between the Bank and selected high-net-worth corporate customers.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Corporate Banking.
  • Strong credit analysis and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
  • Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, or project financing is an added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of Corporate Banking products.
  • Strong sales, time management, and interpersonal skills.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – PERSONAL BANKING

Job Summary
Responsible for promoting sustainable financial solutions to individuals and group schemes to support national economic development.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end acquisition and relationship management of Group Schemes.
  • Work with branches to develop a pipeline of potential companies and close deals.
  • Act as the key liaison point for assigned companies.
  • Handle escalation and resolution of sales-related issues.
  • Ensure vetting of acquired companies through Credit Risk processes.
  • Coordinate with Branch Personal Banking Teams on product offerings.
  • Drive product penetration within acquired companies.
  • Ensure excellent customer relationships and satisfaction.
  • Ensure seamless customer service from origination to fulfillment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Sales and Relationship Management.
  • Strong selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of credit risk and risk management processes.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
