The Executive Director of Nachingwea District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for fifteen (15) vacant positions in the Council after receiving permission from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as follows:


1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 2 POSITIONS

1.1 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
  • Transport staff for official work trips.
  • Perform minor vehicle repairs.
  • Deliver and distribute documents as required.
  • Maintain logbook records of all trips.
  • Clean and maintain the vehicle.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the employer.

1.2 Applicant Qualifications

  • Form Four education.
  • Class C or E Driving License.
  • Minimum one year driving experience with no accidents.
  • Certificate qualifying for the relevant grade.
  • Basic Driving Course from VETA or government-recognized institution.

Salary Scale: TGS B


2.0 PERSONAL SECRETARY GRADE II – 8 POSITIONS

2.1 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Type letters, reports, and confidential documents.
  • Receive visitors and direct them to relevant offices.
  • Maintain records of appointments, meetings, and travel schedules.
  • Retrieve and distribute files/documents to officers.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and arrangements.
  • Prepare list of office equipment requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the employer.

2.2 Applicant Qualifications

  • Form Four education.
  • Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies.
  • Shorthand in Kiswahili and English at 80 w.p.m.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, Publisher.

Salary Scale: TGS C


3.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II – 5 POSITIONS

3.1 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Register incoming and outgoing letters.
  • Distribute files to action officers.
  • Receive files returned from officers.
  • Search and retrieve documents required for duties.
  • Return files to designated storage areas.
  • Track movement of files within the institution.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the employer.

3.2 Applicant Qualifications

  • Form Four or Form Six education.
  • Diploma or NTA Level 6 in Records Management.
  • Computer skills required.

Salary Scale: TGS C


GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS

  1. Must be Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 – 45 years.

  9. Certificates from abroad must be verified by relevant authorities (TCU, NACTE, NECTA).
  10. Submission of forged information will lead to legal action.
  11. Application letters may be written in Swahili or English.
