The Executive Director of Kilwa District Council invites suitably qualified Tanzanians to apply for three (03) job vacancies after receiving employment approval from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance (PO-PSMGG).
POSITION ANNOUNCED
DRIVER GRADE II – 3 POSTS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant shall be responsible for the following duties:
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
- Driving staff to various official duties and work-related trips.
- Performing minor vehicle maintenance.
- Collecting and distributing official documents.
- Recording and maintaining all trip details in the vehicle logbook.
- Ensuring cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE – Form IV).
- Possession of a valid Driving License Class E or C.
- At least one (1) year proven driving experience without causing accidents.
- Relevant driving training certificates qualifying the applicant for the respective class.
- Completion of Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any other Government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not more than 45 years.
- Applicants must attach a copy of their Birth Certificate.
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contact address, phone numbers and referees.
- Copies of academic and professional certificates must be uploaded through the Ajira Portal.
- Testimonials, Provisional Results and Statements of Results are not accepted.
- Applicants for Driver Grade II with Class E or C license must attach relevant driving training certificates.
- Two (2) recent passport size photographs must be uploaded to the Ajira Portal.
- Applicants educated outside Tanzania must have their certificates verified by TCU, NECTA or NACTE.
- Applicants who were dismissed from Public Service are not eligible unless permitted by the Chief Secretary.
- Current public servants in entry-level positions are not allowed to apply as per Government Circular dated 30 November 2010.
- Submission of forged information or documents will result in legal action.
